Strawberry Hill, Jamiaca
A Magical Blue Mountain Hideaway
Honeymoon Heaven...
Island Records founder, Chris Blackwell, the man who brought the musical talents of Bob Marley to the world, created the equally wondrous Strawberry Hill. Set 3,100 feet above the Caribbean Sea in Jamaica’s beguiling Blue Mountains, this is a one-off hideaway perfect for honeymooners looking to loose themselves in nature and a cool vibe. Strawberry Hill evolved into a meeting place for famous musicians and entertainers, Reggae artists, fashion models and discerning travellers. Spend your honeymoon here, and you’re following in the footsteps of singer Lauren Hill, model Naomi Campbell, Prince Charles and Camilla.
Driving up through the dense forests of the Blue Mountains past adventure mountain biking outposts and ramshackle cafes, it’s a wonder when the pretty wooden buildings of Strawberry Hill appear out of nowhere. Made up of 10 buildings housing 18 rooms squat amid banana trees with magnificent views. The Georgian style cottages are handcrafted. Each piece of board, fretwork and furniture has been lovingly tooled and finished on site. Royal Hut fabrics and soft white linens complement the dark mahogany furniture.
